Character
Puppy Zilla was born blind in the UK on 13 May 2026. He is a normal pup, loving life, who has no idea he's blind!
Zilla's mother is half Lurcher, quarter American bulldog, and quarter Doberman. His father is half Lurcher, half Standard bulldog. When grown Zilla will be a tall, athletic dog like his parents (who are both shown in the photos and videos).
Zilla he is a confident, loving boy, he gets very excited and loves to give kisses.
Zilla currently lives with his parents, 6 pup siblings (sighted) and cats.
Zilla's mother has always had good recall, has always loved people, including children, and has always been good with the family cats at home. When young she was boisterous and chewed, but has grown out of the behaviour and is mellower now, although she does still pester for attention and is more needy and vivacious than Zilla's father. Mum does still experience some separation anxiety and can be impatient on walks or out and about, whining and wanting to keep moving!
Zilla's father, 2 years old, has a very chilled out nature. He even shares food with the cats! He is a gentle soul. He takes longer to get to know people and can be more nervous outside the house. Although he is the perfect pub dog - just lying at your feet unphased by anyone or other dogs.
Please note - we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.
Type of Home Sought
Zilla's new home must understand the patience and commitment it takes to train a pup. Zilla will grow into a large, active dog and will need a garden and plenty of mental stimulation and exercise.
Zilla will be microchipped before adoption, but his vaccinations will be the responsibility of his adopters. His adopters will also need to have him neutered when he is of the appropriate age.
Please read about our Adoption process. We really appreciate it when potential adopters have read our advice, and these are the people who are most often successful at application stage! https://www.bdruk.org/rehome
Our adoption donation is £350. This includes travel to the UK, their vaccinations, pet passport, microchip and all preparation for travel. They also come with 5 weeks free insurance (excluding The Channel Isles & Isle of Man).
