Character
This gorgeous, friendly pup who looks just like a miniature Lion is ‘Srecko’. Srecko was born around October 2025, currently weighs 13kg (he may fill out a little) and is in a foster home in Serbia. Srecko is partially sighted.
Srecko previously had a family, but they kept him outside on a chain. When Srecko’s eye issues became obvious (they are thought to be congenital), and when he grew larger than the family wanted, they decided they no longer wanted him. Thankfully a local rescuer saved him being abandoned on the streets or taken to a public shelter.
Srecko (which means ‘Lucky’) is described as a “sweet, gentle boy”. He loves people, enjoys a fuss and very fond of cuddles. He is happy cheerful chap, possibly with a bit of Chow Chow in his mix which would explain his beautiful fluffy golden red coat and lustrous mane.
Srecko is used to living in a home but spends a lot of his time outside with the other dogs, with whom he lives very happily. Srecko loves his food, but doesn’t like to share it with other dogs, so should be fed separately.
Srecko enjoys running around and playing with his friends and is fairly energetic, as expected of a dog of his age. He is a little accident prone due to his reduced vision but that doesn’t stop him joining in the fun. A few of the dogs he lives with enjoy a good bark and he does join in, but his rescuer believes that would change in a different environment.
Srecko travelled well and seemed to enjoy his car journey to his foster home. He is happy to wear a collar and has been on a lead. He will need further lead training as currently goes out in the yard rather than on walks. However, he is a bright and obedient boy who loves his food so is likely to be easy to train. He is neutered.
Srecko didn’t have the best start in life, but we are hoping his luck has changed and this stunning little Lion’s home is just around the corner.

Type of Home Sought
Srecko would love a home with a garden where he can run around. He can live as an only dog or with other dogs. If he lives with other dogs he should be fed separately.
