Character

Meet darling deafblind Ronnie, born in the UK on the 4th January 2026.

Ronnie’s father is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Ronnie’s Mum (pictured in the carousel) is a Stafforshire Bull Terrier X American Bulldog.

When full grown, Ronnie is expected to be of Medium size, around 18kg.

Ronnie was born with Micropthalmia, meaning he has very small eyes.  His right eye is less severely affected than his left and he has (the vet expects) a little vision in his left eye.  Ronnie also has entropion (outward rolling of the eyelid), although his vet inspection showed no current discomfort caused by this.  He is also deaf.

Apart from his sight issues and deafness, Ronnie is in very good health, and has been vaccinated and microchipped.   He is a typical fun-loving puppy.

Ronnie loves human attention and to play - as you can see in his videos, where he is shown with his blind brother Reggie (also available for adoption through BDRUK).

Ronnie was born into to a loving home with children and has been well handled and socialised.

He is ready to be adopted now!

Please note - we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.

Type of Home Sought

Ronnie will need a home ready for a puppy!  A home that understands the patience and commitment any puppy takes, and especially patient as Ronnie is a special needs puppy.

Ronnie can live with dogs, and like most puppies, probably prefer a home where he had a playmate.

Ronnie has not lived with cats, but as he is so young, we are confident he could be trained to live respectfully with cats.

Ronnie will need to be neutered when he reaches an appropriate age; this will be at the adopter's expense and a condition of adoption.

Please read about our Adoption process. We really appreciate it when potential adopters have read our advice, and these are the people who are most often successful at application stage! https://www.bdruk.org/rehome

Our adoption donation is £350. This includes travel to the UK, their vaccinations, pet passport, microchip and all preparation for travel. They also come with 5 weeks free insurance (excluding The Channel Isles & Isle of Man).
