Character

Are you looking for a dog who is fun and full of life, who will walk by your side for miles, grow to love you deeply and greet you with a wonderful, tongue-lolling smile?

Then meet lovely Rina, born c. 2021, c.25kg, fully sighted, neutered and in a private shelter in Serbia.

Rina is described as “fun and energetic”, she loves to walk (energy level 4 out of 5) and is great on the lead.  She’ll happily walk for miles and would love stomping through and exploring the countryside with you as your devoted trail buddy.

At the shelter they say Rina’s “absolute gem” because she gets close to her people, is so excited to see them and greets them with a hug.

This is a long way from when Rina was found as a stray on the streets of Belgrade - sad, very skinny and hairless, suffering from Demodex mites.  Then, Rina didn’t trust people so it took a while to catch her, but her rescuer was determined and eventually succeeded.

Rina needs a little time to adjust to new people, but once she knows you, she’s yours forever.

Rina is good with other dogs and loves playing with them. She is a friendly girl and has never caused any problems within her group of dog pals.  It is not currently known how she is with cats.

Rina is now a healthy 25 kgs and has a gorgeous sandy coloured coat, dark elegant muzzle and very sultry eyes.  As you can see from Rina’s photos, she has a whole host of expressions, not to mention one of the best smiles we’ve seen!

Despite all this, Rina has been in the shelter for 2 ½ years, waiting patiently for someone to notice and fall in love with her. With little hope of her finding a home in Serbia, her rescuer has asked BDRUK if maybe she could find her forever home in the UK.  We’re hoping it will be different here for this wonderful girl…

Rina is looking for a patient owner who will give her time to adjust to home life after a long time in shelter.  She should adapt quickly and would be happy to be loved and spoilt by her people.

Type of Home Sought

Rina would love a home with a garden where she can do zoomies and play. She’d like an active home with lots of walks, maybe with another playful dog who could show her the ropes and help her settle into her new life.
