Character

Meet Niko (born August 2025), an adorable partially sighted kitten currently in foster in Macedonia.

Niko was found in mid-August abandoned on the pavement by a busy street, malnourished and weighing barely 0.3 kg (about 10 oz), with a severely infected eye. He was immediately taken to safety, given food, and started veterinary care. Despite his difficult start, Niko’s determination to live and his playful nature quickly shone through.

He is a cheerful tabby and white boy, endlessly curious, cuddly, and full of spirit. Once he decides on something - whether it’s chasing a toy or sneaking an extra bite of food - he never gives up. He loves the company of other animals, especially his feline “mum,” a gentle female cat he follows everywhere, and he enjoys playing with the tail of a small size dog in his foster home.

Niko has been wormed and will begin his vaccinations next week. He will be neutered at the same time as his upcoming eye surgery. Despite his early struggles, he has blossomed into a lively, affectionate kitten who will bring joy and love to any home. He can travel starting from December 2025 or January 2026.

Please note - we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.
