Almost blind and practically deaf, this little ginger nut was found dodging traffic in the middle of a busy road in Romania.
He may be 14 years old and only have a few remaining teeth, but Max is determined to find a comfortable retirement home to see out his days.
Could he come and stay with you? He’s not asking for much these days, and he’s very affectionate.
Max weighs 14kg, is neutered, and is currently in Romanian foster with many cats and dogs.
Max has been vet checked and is in good health for his age. He has cataract in both eyes but still has a bit of sight.
Max may be a golden oldie but he really enjoys life. He enjoys the company of the other dogs, joins in with them sometimes and tolerates the many puppies.
He is an inquisitive old chap, enjoying a good sniff… and then a good sleep too!
His rescuer says Max is such a good boy. He is very friendly and well behaved, with a calm manner. He comes to ask for snuggles in a very gentle, cute way. What a sweetie!
Max is fine with cats. The cats are in a separate room but wander into the dogs’ rooms. He just sniffs them and walks away.
Max can wear a collar and has been introduced to a lead, although he will need further lead training. He is used to living in a home and is house trained, going to the door to wait when he wants to go outside.
And although time is advancing, Max still has a beautiful golden rusty coat, white socks, fluffy tail and flip flop ears. With his little greying muzzle and slightly crooked squint, he has stolen all our hearts!
Max asks for very little, some good food, a little love and a comfy bed. We know he is an old man, but he still deserves a loving home of his own. Could you be the one to give him a fairytale ending?

Max is looking for a calm home where he can relax and enjoy life. A garden to potter around in and maybe some gentle short walks if he enjoys them.
With Adopter/s who are happy to provide guidance and time while he settles into UK life.
