Character
Freya is an adorable partially sighted pup who was born around September 2025 and weighs 8kgs. This little cutie is currently in foster in Spain and is not neutered yet due to her age.
Freya was rescued in November 2025 when her pitiful cries were heard coming from dumpster bin. Her rescuer looked in the bin to find little emaciated puppy who was dehydrated and very weak. Freya was nursed back to health and had the good fortune to stay with her rescuer.
Sadly several months later Freya started to bang into furniture. Further vet investigation diagnosed vision loss due to genetic blindness. Currently Freya can see dark objects like shadows, but has problems with light coloured objects; her sight loss will probably deteriorate further. Freya has taken it all in her stride and has coped very well with her sight loss – she’s a clever, outgoing, confident girl and that hasn’t changed.
Freya has been given a great start, but sadly due to her rescuer’s ongoing health issues she is looking for another loving home. Freya is described as having a “loving, sweet personality”. She is a clever girl who learns quickly. Freya is fully house trained, doesn’t chew furniture and has no bad habits. She sits on command, sits and stays when you put her food bowl down, and is not possessive around food, toys or chews. She's an easy going, intelligent, happy puppy.
Freya is very friendly with other dogs and just wants to play. When Freya had full vision, she barked at cats on her walks so a cat free home would be best for this little one.
Freya enjoys going out for walks. Her videos show her out and about in Alicante city unfazed by the crowds and traffic. Everyone loves to make a fuss of her and give her a cuddle. If you want to stop for a coffee, then Freya is happy to sit quietly under your chair, until it’s time to move on.
When she’s at home, Freya is very affectionate and loves to have a snuggle and cuddle, resting her head on you or sitting on your knee. She has a placid disposition but is still a young girl who likes to play and go on long walks. She enjoys her food and even eats her veggies - she loves raw carrots, broccoli stems and sweet potatoes. Freya is an all-round good girl.

Type of Home Sought
Freya is looking for someone to fall in love with her and hoping for a loving, affectionate home - maybe with a garden to explore. She’s still young, so someone who is happy to play with her and take her on some long walks. As with all dogs Freya will need time to settle into her new life and her happy nature should soon shine through.
Freya will need to be neutered when an appropriate age and this will be at the adopter’s expense.
