Character
Charlie is a loveable partially sighted young boy (born November 2025) who is currently in foster in Greece. He weighs 13kgs and is expected to be around 20kgs when fully grown. Due to his young age Charlie is not neutered yet.
Charlie’s a lucky boy - in December 2025 he was found and taken to a vet clinic where he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. He spent 10 days in a coma and then woke up! He improved quickly but has been left with limited vision. Charlie waited in the vet clinic for 2 months, but no one was interested in adopting him. His foster carer stepped forward so he could leave the clinic and hopefully find a family of his own.
While in foster Charlie has adapted beautifully to home life. His exact level of sight in not known: he sees large things and navigates well, but he may have to search to find a treat on the floor. He sometimes takes food from the hand a bit roughly. This may be due to his excitement or his impaired vision. His limited sighted doesn’t bother him, he’s just a happy, energetic pup.
Charlie is described as “joyful and spirited”. He is full of life, and when people arrive home or he’s about to be fed his excitement is hard to contain, and he runs around. When he is overstimulated, he can find it difficult to calm down immediately. However, he is also able to relax well. He lies down calmly to sleep or relaxes quietly in the garden. He enjoys sitting in the sun. He may not be perfect, but he is a very special boy.
Charlie is living with cats and dogs and is a happy, social dog who gets on well with both. While he enjoys company he can be a little possessive of his food, so it is best if he is fed separately. He likes playing with dogs and cats, but can be a little clumsy, which may be due to his previous injury. His bouncy nature can sometimes make other animals a little nervous, so he is looking for friends who are tolerant of his exuberance.
Charlie is gorgeous, with his black and white markings, soulful eyes and amazing long white tipped tail. He is learning to walk on a lead and accepts wearing a harness. At the moment, he tends to follow his own lead during walks, so needs further training in this area. Charlie is looking for a patient understanding person to help further his education and who will love him exactly as he is.

Type of Home Sought
Charlie would love a home with a garden where he can run around, in addition to daily walks. He enjoys the company of other animals and likes to play – but any companions will need to be friendly and tolerant of his energetic personality.
Charlie is looking for patient, understanding Adopter(s) who are happy to provide the training he needs as a young dog.
Charlie will need to be neutered when an appropriate age and this will be at the adopter’s expense.
