Character
This sweet little chap with caramel ears is Bobby. Born in 2025, 12kg, and partially sighted, Bobby is thought to be a Pulin mix. He is in foster care in Serbia.
Bobby is completely blind in his right eye but has full sight in the other.
Little ‘Bobica’ (as he is affectionately known) was found as a pup on Zlatibor Mountain with his mother and the rest of the litter. At the time, Bobby had an injured eye and injured leg.
Although Bobby’s injuries have healed, he will remain blind in one eye. He has been assessed by leading veterinary eye specialist in Serbia.
Bobby’s leg has healed beautifully and he walks with no unusual gait. Again, Bobby has had clinical and veterinary treatment and assessment to get him to full recovery.
Bobby's siblings have been successfully adopted. Although having sight in only one eye doesn’t hold Bobby back from a normal dog’s life at all, he doesn’t have much chance of adoption in Serbia.
Bobby is very gentle and obedient. He is lovely with children.
He is cautious initially, always friendly but not interactive right away. He likes to approach you on his own terms and when he decides to. Once he feels safe, he relaxes very easily and opens up.
In his current home - with 6 other dogs - Bobby feels completely at home and is confident.
It is not known how Bobby is with cats, but a test may be possible to arrange on request.
Bobby is walked off lead in his rural area and is said to have good recall. He has also been on a lead and walks very nicely.
‘Bobby is not overly energetic but can keep up with the adventures of even the most active dogs. On the other hand, if you wanted to lie in bed all day sometimes, he would be perfectly fine with that’, says his rescuer.
Bobby likes sleeping then waking up and having a cuddle. He loves the touch and proximity of his trusted people.
If you are willing to go at his pace and give this little chap time and space, Bobby relaxes into a wonderful affectionate companion, sweet and curious and very grateful.

Type of Home Sought
Bobby needs a patient home; one that understands that rescue dogs can take time to flourish; one that will give Bobby his own space to start with.
Bobby’s new home will not shower him with affection straight away, they will understand that he likes to set the pace of the relationship’s development.
Bobby could live with another dog or as an only dog.
He enjoys the company of children, but they would need to be very understanding of Bobby’s need for space and patience at the outset.
Bobby currently lives in a very quiet rural area, so would probably prefer a quieter and more rural home.
