Character

Little Bella the Pomchi, weighing only 2.8kg, was born in the UK in 2025.

Bella hasn't had the easiest first ten months of life, but now she is just coming out of her shell in her York foster home, beginning to enjoy her puppyhood and starting to play with toys.

Bella was born blind and so is very well adapted to her blindness.

Bella is also getting used to living in a home and is taking to her house training well, currently using a puppy pad at night, but she has learned to indicate that she wants to go outside - she goes to the door and circles: what a clever girl!

Bella is also sleeping well through the night.   She has just started to explore her surroundings on a lead, and has even given a little bark of excitment, which is a joy to see.   Her new adopter(s) will understand that she needs a bit of patience, but is already a lovely girl, willing to learn.

Bella has lived with and is living with cats.   We know she has previously lived with dogs, but is not living with dogs currently.   We imagine she will be fine with other small, calm and respectful dogs.  Bella could also be an only dog and would make a lovely companion.

Bella has not been spayed yet, but her adopter will need to arrange this (and bear the cost).

Please note - we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.

Type of Home Sought

Bella needs a patient, calm and loving home with someone around for most of the time.  Someone who is committed to her ongoing training and who will enjoy watching her get used to living in a loving home.  Someone who is prepared to put in time and commitment.

Bella would love a garden to explore.

We think Bella can live with other small respectful dogs.   She can also be an only dog.

We know Bella can live with cats.
