Ted is a dog with a special talent: he hugs like a human. We challenge you to watch his short videos and disagree! ‘The best dog ever,’ say his shelter carers in Bosnia.

Those of you who noticed Ted’s special marking – the heart shape on his head – may surmise he has some Brittany Spaniel in his breed mix. Certainly he is cheerful, eager to please, of sweet disposition and affectionate. He’s a bit larger than a Brittany, chunkier and more medium-to-large in size, (Labrador-ish), and he has a gorgeous happy big head. His coat is soft, his tail and legs are fluffy and he has lovely speckles on his back like cinnamon sprinkles on a cappuccino.

Ted loves walks. He walks nicely on a lead and is confident out and about. He trots along in his curious way, happy to explore, happy to share the walk with you, checking back in to make sure you’re ok. He’s such a nice guy.

His carers say he’s a clever chap too, and has learnt everything quickly.

The only thing his carers can say about him that’s negative is that he doesn’t like cats.

But, as long as you don’t need him to like cats, Ted is an all-rounder and will fit in pretty much anywhere. The thing that will make all the difference to Ted is really the simplest things of all: he wants to be around his people and give them all his love.
