Character
Meet the dog with masses of character and no eyes: Noor. Born 2024, c.16kg, his fosterer in Cornwall describes him as ‘one of the happiest and most determined pups ever!’
Originally rescued from the streets of Egypt, Noor has what we would understand as Collie traits: he’s sensitive, super intelligent, and loves to learn.
Noor will zoom around, fling his paws around you for a hug, then melt in your arms for cuddles. He also loves collecting toys and other items – 17 in his bed at one count – and is very happy to share them too!
Noor has Diabetes Insipidus, a condition that causes thirst and frequent peeing. It is managed perfectly by taking the medication Desmopressin, which has been prescribed by the vet. His thirst and urination is now completely under control, he’s housetrained and he lives an extraordinarily happy, normal doggie life. Nonetheless, we are offering supported adoption for Noor, this means that BDRUK will cover the costs for his diabetes insipidus for the rest of his life, but his adopter will need to take out insurance for the rest of his health needs.
Noor currently lives with 20 dogs and 10 cats. He enjoys being part of the pack but is also quite self-sufficient. He is happy in his crate and can be left with no problems. He’s perfectly content with being blind; he plays with other dogs, has worked out how to use stairs and speedily mapped his foster home. He’s brave and up for any adventure that might be coming his way.
Please note - we do not rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 10.
Type of Home Sought
Noor would like a garden in which to do his blind zoomies but is otherwise very adaptable and could fit into most environments, with or without other dogs.
Our adoption donation is £350. This includes travel to the UK, their vaccinations, pet passport, microchip and all preparation for travel. They also come with 5 weeks free insurance (excluding The Channel Isles & Isle of Man).
