Please meet handsome Max. Max is around 11 years old (as of August 2024). He is a German Shepherd, weighs around 34kg and is fully sighted.
Max was owned but lived in horrible conditions. He was then abandoned and was rescued from the dog catchers.
Max is currently being treated for heart worm, but is otherwise completely healthy and has been thoroughly examined by a vet. For his age, he is in good health and is still active. He knows how to walk on a lead and loves walks.
Max is an affectionate, beautiful boy. Max is good with other dogs. He will approach other dogs, just sniff them and then move on. It is not known how he behaves with cats.
He is not a playful dog, but he does enjoy going for walks and then likes to rest. He is not a fan of being in a car and can get travel sick. It is thought he must have lived in a house at some point because he has hygienic habits and toilets outside.
Max's rescuer is hoping he will find a quiet home with a comfy bed, where he will be loved and treasured in his golden years.

Max would love a home with a garden where he can be a member of the family.
Our adoption donation is £255. This includes travel to the UK, their vaccinations, pet passport, microchip and all preparation for travel. They also come with 5 weeks free insurance.
