Louie

We are seeking a Forever Foster home for our gorgeous, gentle Louie. Born in 2019, 25kg, fully sighted and currently in Bosnia, Louie looks a bit like a snow-dog with his wide open face and adorable big black nose like a lump of coal. Chosen specially to be a Forever Foster Dog, Louie would have his lifetime medical expenses covered by BDRUK.

Louie has that rare look about him that animals have sometimes when they could tell you a thing or two. He’s the quiet one who doesn’t say much, but we wish he could tell us his story. What we do know is that Louie was found on the streets being attacked by other dogs… but when he was taken to the vets it was discovered that he had fragments of shot in his body!

You’d hardly know anything was amiss with this graceful, happy chap, but Louie has muscle atrophy in a small section of his heart. However, this is managed successfully by medication and Louie lives a full life. It is likely, however, that he will continue to require medication for the rest of his days, and hence why we are offering to support him in Forever Foster.  As you can see from the videos, dear Louie takes his daily pills very willingly!

Louie has a wise, calm, accepting soul and a peaceful outlook on life. He loves people, loves being stroked and fussed, and is so calm and gentle in receiving attention, showing gratitude and contentment in his lovely, gentle face.

Louie is a clever dog and would make a devoted companion. He enjoys the company of other dogs and will happily play and mooch around with them. Despite being young, Louie is not a frenetic dog, he’s gentle and of lower energy. Louie just wants the quiet life now, and who can blame him!
