Hugo

Please meet handsome Hugo. Hugo is 6 years old (as of September 2024), is neutered and weighs 15kg. Hugo is fully sighted.

Hugo has spent many years as a tethered dog living on a chain. Living outside in all weathers - high temperatures or extreme cold. His rescuer had previously tried to get him safety, but his "owner" would not allow it.

Hugo was then abandoned and his rescuer found him with a severe eye injury.
Hugo was taken to safety and received veterinary treatment for his eye. His eye is now fully healed and his sight was unaffected.

Despite his past, Hugo is a friendly boy and is an active, healthy dog. Hugo is very happy being with people and enjoys a fuss. He is lead trained, walks well on a lead and really enjoys going for a walk.

Hugo is now living in a house and is house trained. He enjoys being outside in the yard during the day. Hugo is good with other dogs, but it is not known how he is with cats. Hugo is now such a happy boy enjoying his life.

His rescuer is hoping Hugo will find a loving home where he lives as a member of the family.
